Samples can be shipped using the United States Postal Service (USPS), FedEx, or United Parcel Service (UPS). Please see the specific instructions below for how to ship samples using these services.

Pregnancy samples are not temperature or time sensitive. Biosecurity samples should be shipped with ice packs and quickly enough that samples arrive still cold. Ship overnight (only available via FedEx or UPS) if samples are not insulated. If shipped in a Styrofoam cooler or insulated bag 2-3 day shipping is sufficient. Do not use dry ice or frozen water for coolant.

What to Ship

Samples
1 - Bundle tubes together in groups of 2-10 tubes with a rubber band.
2 - Wrap the bundle with paper towels, enough to absorb fluid if all tubes break.
3 – Place samples inside a leak proof zip lock bag.
4 - If shipping samples for any biosecurity testing include an ice pack and place in zip lock bag.
**Ice packs not required for pregnancy testing.
**Do not use dry ice or frozen water.
5 - Pack the bags with bubble wrap or absorbent material inside a cardboard box.
DO NOT SHIP SAMPLES IN PLAIN or PADDED ENVELOPES!!!

Sample Submission Form and Payment
1 - Enclose a completed sample submission form and payment with the samples. Or, if you prefer, prepay for testing by using our online store . If you choose to prepay, please include proof of purchase with the submission form.
2 - Place inside a leak proof zip lock bag to prevent water damage from blood or ice packs.

1 - Print and place a Biohazard symbol inside of the box, or write Biohazard on the plastic bag or on a note size piece of paper with a sharpie. DO NOT PUT BIOHAZARD ON THE OUTSIDE OF THE BOX!!
2 - Write “Exempt Animal Specimen” on the outside of the box.
3 - If you have questions, please consult with your local post office and/or check the information at the USPS website.
**Priority mail is not recommended. It is not guaranteed and delivery dates are regularly delayed. If you use USPS please use Priority Mail Express only.
** Saturday delivery accepted.
** Never require signature for delivery.

FedEx
